Conversion from Bigcommerce & Shopify Site Optimization
This business could not update on Bigcommerce CMS due to so much custom code and version issues, so the client decided to move to Shopify.
The client wanted to revamp the entire site with a new Shopify theme and optimize for performance.
After the transition to Shopify, the site scored 64 on mobile and 96 on desktop in Google PageSpeed Insights.
I optimized this site with the lazyload2 effect, which differs from lazyload.
It replaced the src to data-src attributes and loaded the Shopify resources late. This resulted in remarkable improvements in page speed.
I removed old app snippets and activated async/defer call on Javascript calls.
Through the Google A/B Test, I built all pages with the best optimized version.
