Under management of this site over 3 months.
Built custom sections for Categories view, Custom Carousel with certain category products.
BigCommerce is different than Shopify, as it has the ability to load products under category on other pages beyond just the category page.
So I added product data as json in congig.json file and used a common carousel format of the home page module.
There have been many updates made to the site:
- Persistent “in-stock” filter on sidebar
- Create blank page template with max-width set
- Klaviyo integration with Footer form
- Sticky Navbar
- Change default product image on grid
- Solved issue of default 2 items added to cart
With this project, I became more familiar with BigCommerce Cornerstone theme, and understand the weaknesses of BigCommerce Framework.
In web dev, the easier method is fine with any developer. I recommend to BigCommerce system developers.
