Project Details:
The client site has customers who have subscribed to memberships using the Shopify Recharge Widget.
The client’s goal was to show different One-time / Subscription prices for members and non-members.
Membership customers are tagged with unique tags.
The client provides a 5% discount for subscription purchases.
Because of this discount, prices should appear discounted when the customer is logged into the membership customer account.
To solve this, first, I used the “Bold Custom Pricing: Wholesale” app.
This app helps me to show different prices based on Customer’s Tags.
The next step was to change the line item pricing based on Customer tags.
Since the Store is on the Shopify Plus plan, I was able to use the “Scripts Editor”. I used the Line Item script to change the prices.
In the script, I compared customer tags and product id to provide different discount prices.
